Chef He: Celebrating a Decade of Culinary Excellence • December 16, 2025
Executive Chef He’s passion for Dim Sum began in his childhood kitchen in China, where he was inspired by his uncle to pursue the art of traditional, handcrafted cuisine. As he prepared dishes daily for his family, he developed not only his culinary skill, but also a deep appreciation for the cultural heritage, discipline, and care embedded in every bite.
This lifelong dedication eventually brought Chef He to Austin, where he joined the Shanghai Chinese Restaurant team on December 16, 2015. Over the past decade, he has consistently infused his creativity, expertise, and cultural insight into each dumpling and each basket of Dim Sum, proudly sharing authentic Shanghai flavors with the Austin community.
As we commemorate 10 years of Chef He’s service, we respectfully honor his exceptional craftsmanship, unwavering commitment to quality, and the warmth and integrity he brings to our restaurant and its guests—one meticulously prepared dish at a time.
